The Metropolitan New York Registry is one of twelve international registries in the National Cancer Institute’s program of Breast and Colon Cancer Family Registries [BCCFR]. Six of the BCCFR sites recruit families with breast and ovarian cancer, while the other sites are concerned with colon cancer.

The other five B-CFR breast cancer sites are:

  • Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia
  • Huntsman Cancer Institute, University of Utah
  • Nothern California Cancer Center, San Francisco
  • Cancer Care Ontario, Toronto Canada
  • Center for Genetic Epidemiology, University of Melbourne, Australia

The National Cancer Institute's Cancer Family Registry web site has information on the mission of the BCCFR, as well as resources for both registry participants and researchers.
